A double folded lock on standing seam hip is probably as time consuming as soldering the corners. You have to run one side up, flatten, bend back, then run the other side. Good exercise for the forearms.

Here is how they turned out.Took a minute to decide the divisions but they turned out well.No need to run the seams into the hip or the wall when done this way.

Looks good, but to me, just too too many seams! That's what the guy wanted though what you gonna do.

Hi,

Did you double lock those seams? We've done them both ways, but charge more for double locking.

I dont think he did, you risk putting dents in these tops, if you go fooling around up there with a hammer any more than you have to. My moneys on a single monkeyman.

I was going to do a complete double lock but opted to just double lock around the clip.The second bend on the lock I made 3/4 like the first so the there would not be any reveal on one side of the seam.Looks like a single but without the rivets.
