Default any books in sheet metal drafting ?

Just started my apprenticeship about 6 months ago and now we're to the part where we draft the fittings before we make them.

I'm wondering if there's any books or examples out there to look at to gauge my drawings too. The instructor is a real stickler and not much help.

Welcome to the forums.

Did you look at the books in the library here on the site?

http://www.thesheetmetalshop.com/library/

And, didn't you get work books as you signed up for the apprenticeship?

What sort of fittings are you referring to, that would help us help you better?

Thanks for the tip on the library

Yes I did get books when I started but they are pretty vague on a lot of stuff.

Right now I'm working on a radius elbow then the next one will be the radius change elbow

Smile Books

I don't think you will find better books on layout than Richard Budzic " Practical Sheet Metal Layout" These are spiral books that will open up and lay flat on the bench and you just follow it 1 step at a time. There are 3 Red ,White ,& Blue. He may have more but I don't know.
