Default airflow and s cleats

I'm Used To Putting My Slips On The Inside Or Whatever Prevents Me From Fighting With The duct. I just started a new company and the foreman insists that the slips be on the outside because of the airflow. Anyone has insight on this matter?

I really don't see what difference it would make, unless it's a standing S.
Most times outside, sometimes inside, whatever makes your job easier.

Default S cleat debate

Arguably, there is more material in the airstream with the cleat on the inside, but its a pretty small difference. Nobody I worked for or with ever made an issue about it either way, usually went with whatever made it easiest and covered it all with duct sealer (hiding the sins)

Thanks for the input. I don't see why one should risk fighting the duct and taking longer for that infinitesimal difference.
