Default Certification of Qualification

Hi, Just want to see if there are any Ontario, Canada apprentices that have written or is going to write there C of Q. if so, was the test difficult?I heard that the test has a lot of math calculations and formulas.

I'm going to write in a few months in Manitoba. I heard there is a LOT of math. Last batch here that wrote it, only 57% of the apprentices passed.

I went to school @ George Brown.

Yeah here in Ontario they rewrote the test, apparently it is @ a 55% failure rate. ( not known if that is also on the rewrite).

They rewrote it because the original was too easy, corrupt (copies of the test were out), a need to make a new generation of HIGHLY skilled Tin Knockers!

So their throwing in alot of math & process questions. If your formula is done using CFM or FPM or square feet. Make sure the questions are asking for the same. They appartently in some questions are asking for CFH or FPH or square inches.

Know your Formulas & READ CAREFULLY is the warning!

The old timers got off easy by identifing 3 parts of a hammer!
