Default Old Barn Cupola

I always wanted to make a scaled down version of the old barn cupola. I have made new bases for some of them before and there are several types out there. Recently I saw one on facebook and saved the picture to go by.
I also used Sketchup to help me scale it to fit on top of my shop. It was a fun project I made the base to fit over the Omni vent on my roof. The original beast was about 8 foot tall.

That cupola looks great. Thanks for the great pictures, I've been thinking about something like that for my shop, and since I should replace the roof this summer, I'll be up there anyway.

Very nice!
How did you do the little star knockouts?

I still can't get over the shop, I seen operating rooms that weren't as clean and organized.

I made a pattern to draw stars and then hand snipped them. There was six of them and it was very tedious. That is why I substituted punched holes on the top cone supports instead of stars like the original had
