ok guys so i got my study books for the exam ill be posting up some questions over the next little while

1.know what a neutral flame looks like

2.know what causes flashback

3.what type of flux used for zinc? muratic acid

4.what shade for a welding shield for tgaw? 10-12

5.if you have a taper 24 inchs long going from 8 to 6 flat one side how long is the slanted side? you have to use Pythagorean therm.

6.know what a toxic sign looks like?

7.stainless steel has a minimum of what chromium oxide? 11%

8.why put laquer on bronze metal? as a protective coating

9.what do bronze,copper and aluminum all have in common? all have protective coatings

10.how do you clean a alloy after welding? sanding,polishing and acid

11.know what a easy edger is

12.rope storage? cool,dark,dry place

13. what would you use to cut 100 elbow patterns in a shop? band saw

14.when making a batten seam what is first piece to go on? im not sure on this one but i think it would be the cleat. feel free to correct me.

These were great questions from lawrencee! Just added a few answers. If any one needs any questions feel free to ask. I have a bank of about 500.

1.know what a neutral flame looks like (Rounded inside tip)

2.know what causes flashback (flame burns into the tip)

3.what type of flux used for zinc? muratic acid

4.what shade for a welding shield for tgaw? 10-12

Looks good!

Any others that are relevant? Our prof has us getting gearing for a lot of math, everything from SO of Cones to straight duct calcs between to elbows.

Is there a lot of math? It seems the red seal practice test is quite a bit of math. Thing is, some of the guys barely passed fourth year but somehow got their red seal.lol

If you need some more questions I can give you about 500 or so. Just need to know what your focused on. I just recieved my results from the cfq test and got a 83, so I think i'd be able to help. Just let me know. Email if you don't mind.
