Hey Shackman, I was actually just gonna ask the same question. I've been wondering about that for a little while. Thanks for beating me to the punch. From a fellow Winnipegger.

Welcome to the site,

The CD is a great resource, many of the books are here in the library for free, we put the CD together to help cover the cost of the website, updates, security, operation, searching for more books...Nothing fancy, opens with links to pages similar to those here, opens to a list for chapters in the book for ease of downloading and speed of downloading. All are printable on the CD

Many sites just ask for donations, we're offering you something for a small donation...about 4500 pages...I have little doubt that you'll be disappointed...we're more then about taking your money, Many here can verify this...

Thanks for asking! We'd appreciate your business and it is never taken for granted.

One more note
We've been online since 1999...we've seen many sites come and go...I'm hoping this site will still be on line 2099...imagine what will be of the art in 100 years from now Maybe too sad to think about

I just got my copy of the CD 2 weeks ago. I think it is fantastic! I love "The Art Of Coppersmithing". Keep in mind how old these books are. The geometery in these books is STILL relevant. One of the books explains spinning sheet metal on a lathe(of which I am very interested), and a couple of things off subject but related(Building a 4.5" lathe, and Electro plating). I didn't realize how much I didn't know...

Bud, as long as there are people like you passing on the "secrets," it doesn't matter how our art evolves. As long as the knowlege doesn't die.

Default CD availability

Hi Bud,

Are the CD's mentioned here still available? If so how do I go about purchasing them? I can't seem to find any location other than members post where they are mentioned. Thanks.

Danny
