Default Niagara history

Greetings guys,
Can anyone here find me some info on who started Niagara machine and tool works?
One piece of info I got was they were started in 1880,( found that in a book reprint.)
The other is they were originally known as Niagara stamping and tool co.
Other than that, the information is a little hard to find.
Any help is always appreciated.

Have you checked for newspaper archives from the area? If it was significant, which today its a true American icon, you'd think it made it into the print of its time. The archives in my hometown easily reach that era. I'd think the town it was founded had significant more development than mine in the period.
