Default New to the trade

Hello everyone,

I recently got a job at a sheet metal company as a pre-apprentice. I start next week and am just looking for some advice and tips for my first few weeks. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

The fact that you are seeking out advice probably means you will do just fine. You don't know it all already????
You will probably be given most of the s**t work at first. Don't complain and do what is asked. Once you are seen as willing to do anything you will be given more important tasks.
Listen, Learn and ask questions.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the response. Im very excited to start and learn the trade. I have an hour commute but once I feel assured the job is right and stable I plan to move closer.
