View Full Version : Has anyone had to use K-flex insulation?

We have just been reawarded a project and the liner is the K-flex insulation. The sales rep told us to use filet knives to cut it.(Which he sold us) I told myself there has to be an easier way, so I went into my plasma cutting software (Quickpen-Vulcan) and entered the liner allowances and attached a marker to the torch head and it drew out the parts. I was like "Sweet!!"... So I took that to the next level and made a bracket so I could put on a cutting router on the plasma table and it was cutting the insulation for me. The problem is it doesn't cut it very well at all. Especially on the ends of the liner. I thought about just doing the marker thing and cutting them out with some sharp bull dogs, but I didn't want to give up without asking ya'll first! (lol)

I found that no matter what knife u use it will still have to be sharpened after 2-3 cuts. The shop I work hand cuts most insulation
