Anyone here have any experience with AgIon coated antimicrobial duct. We are looking at a job that specs this product. its now my understanding that it can be shop applied as a water based epoxy, or it can be purchased as precoated metal (either sheet or coil). I have spoken to JIT steel and have found pricing to be about double that of current galvanized pricing.

I am looking for some input as to how easily it is applied in the shop, and if it is formed from raw material, how it work with rollformers?

Thanks

WOW, been retired now almost 7 years, we did a lot of pharmaceutical. Appears to be a new level of protection, never heard of anything like that.

Sounds gummie. I wouldn't want to run it through my shears.

This technology has been around for at least 5 years now, but is just picking up steam. I see a few metal suppliers that are stocking coated coils now.

I dont think that the thickness of the coating is such that it can come off in machinery. from what I have been told, it form like G-90 material.

I'd love to find someone with first hand experience.
